Why this year

A date you’ll never forget.

In the quiet days between Christmas and New Year, the world slows down – and that’s when your ceremony takes place. Small, personal, candlelit, with a glass of champagne.

I

Ring in the New Year as newlyweds

Start the new year married. It’s the kind of date you’ll be telling people about for years.

II

No waiting until 2027

While most places have shut for the holidays, you get a confirmed date before the year is out.

III

A possible tax bonus

If you live in Germany and marry in 2026, you may be able to file jointly for the whole year. Your tax adviser can tell you whether it applies to you.

End 2026 as husband and wife. Start 2027 together.

How it works

Three steps to “I do”

I.

Get in touch & send your documents

Tell us which date you’d like. We’ll look over your documents free of charge and tell you honestly if anything is missing. No strings attached.

II.

We deal with the authorities

We submit your application to the Danish Agency of Family Law (Familieretshuset), handle any follow-up questions and lock in your date.

III.

Say “I do” and raise a glass

On 28 or 29 December we’ll be by your side throughout the ceremony. Afterwards: champagne and your international marriage certificates.

Every couple

The marriage application and a power of attorney, both signed by hand by each of you. A colour copy of your passport (every page) – EU citizens can use their national ID card instead.

If one of you is from outside the EU

A Schengen visa or residence permit, plus proof that you entered legally – for example an entry stamp, or your EES record together with your flight tickets. A German Duldung or Aufenthaltsgestattung isn’t enough.

Divorced or widowed

Your final divorce decree or the death certificate. Documents issued outside Europe may need an apostille or legalisation.

Children together

Your children’s birth certificates.
